Kathy is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), and Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She also holds specialties in Women’s Fitness, Senior Fitness, and Group Personal Training and is a Stretching and Flexibility Coach. She is currently working on her Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) Certification so she can bring this unique and powerful service to her clients. She believes in an integrated approach to health through fitness and nutrition by incorporating healthy habits that can be continued throughout your life.
Kathy believes whole-heartedly that consistency is the key to success. It’s amazing how simple daily habits can help us feel better. Dialing in our sleep habits, hydration, exercise, and nutrition are things that we can control to take charge of how we feel.
She’s a life-long learner and dedicated to continuing education, specifically scientifically proven research in the fitness industry. She loves helping clients understand the science behind what they are learning with her. She doesn’t follow fad diets or fad fitness trends because most of these aren’t based on scientifically proven principles.
As for her own fitness, Kathy is a trail and road runner, hiker, cross-country skier, and enjoys strength training, balance, and flexibility work to keep herself injury free so she can be active outside as much as possible. She loves to cook and eat! Kathy doesn’t believe that there are “good” or “bad” foods; there are foods that are healthy for us and nourish our bodies, and there are foods that aren’t healthy. Our bodies will tell us which is which by how we feel and perform. Kathy personally loves tortilla chips and queso, but knows it’s not the best fuel for her body so she only has it once in a while. Nutrition and exercise go hand in hand in order for us to reach our goals and feel our best, and she’ll teach you how to use them together.
Kathy is a veteran with 25 years of service and has spent her entire life leading and serving others. Let her lead you on your health and fitness journey so you can live your best life.
